Here’s today’s Wonderful Woman of Wednesday
1. What made you decide to start your company?
I am the founder of livehealthysimply.com – A food and health website. I review restaurants and products, share vegan and sugar free recipes, interview prominent people in the industry and other bits and pieces around food and health. I started the site because I wanted to build awareness and inspire people to lead healthier lives.
2. What has been your biggest obstacle/challenge so far and how did you overcome it?
Questioning yourself is one of the biggest assassins to growth and accomplishment. I didn’t think I had enough experience, I didn’t think I would have the time, so many excuses not to start blogging. The turning point was one night when I said to myself “I wish there was a sign that this was the right thing to do?” The next morning I found out that the online blogging course I had considered taking was having a 50% off sale. So I figured it this was the sign I was waiting for so I signed up! !’ve also had to become much better in time management, I think anyone starting a business while working full time would agree that there are too few hours in our days.
3. What motivates you?
Other individuals spreading the word about the importance of living healthy.
4. If you were starting over what would you do differently?
I would have started Live Healthy Simply sooner and not have worried so much. Worrying is such a waste of time and just holds us back from reaching our goals!
5. Why is being vegan so important to you?
For me it’s important for me to be vegan because I believe it’s the healthiest way to live, for you, the animals and the environment.
6. What would you say your distinctive qualities are?
Organised, loving, ambitious, persistent.
7. What are five things could you not live without?
My fiancé, our kitchen, coconut oil, friends and family.
8. What advice do you wish someone had given you?
Stop thinking and just do it!
9. What phrase or quote is your favourite and why?
The world gives to the giver and takes from the taker.
10. What advice would you give to people to help them make going vegan easy?
Find other vegans either in real life or online; they will be able to offer you support and advice to make the transition easier and more enjoyable. Make sure you visit livehealthysimply.com where you can find vegan and sugar free recipes, tips and some pretty entertaining stories. I would love to see you there! Even if you are not interested in becoming vegan, I hope Live Healthy Simply will encourage you to eat better and try making different meals in the kitchen. Everyone will benefit from eating more organic vegetables and less processed and sugary foods and that’s what Live Health Simply is all about!
