Big Dreams, Small Steps
I hired a coach/mentor/visionary agent of change after my grandmother died.
I was struggling with dealing with her passing away and who am I kidding, I thought that if I could hire someone she would give me something else to focus on and I could put aside dealing with the pain a little longer.
And it worked.
For awhile at least.
I managed to distract myself AND learn and discover some really amazing “stuff”.
And yes, I did have to deal with the pain, of course.
I’m still dealing with it every day. And that’s ok.
One of the exercises she took me through that proved to be so valuable in every area of my life was to see your dream as big as you can envision it.
This is my take on it – she teaches it a little different but you’ll get the general idea.
Take a deep breath and let your Soul’s vision come to you on this day.
THIS is the day you’ve been waiting for.
THIS is the day you’ve been working towards.
THIS is the day that all your dreams are coming true.
Where are you?
What are you wearing?
What are you doing?
Who’s there with you?
What are they doing?
Why are you all together?
What are you eating/drinking?
How do you feel?
What can you hear?
What can you smell?
Engage every single one of your senses and really get that you are there.
You are actually there.
This IS your future.
Breathe into it.
Come back to now and ask yourself:
“What is the ONE thing that I can do today that will bring me closer to this?”
“What is THE best next thing that I can do?”
And then go do it.
